Bugatti Veyron

Let's chat about the Bugatti Veyron. What a truly awesome motor vehicle. It is fitted with a 1,ooo hp (736 kw) 8 litre 16 cylinder engine fed by 4 turbochargers. It has 10 radiators, that's right, 10 (ten) radiators! The Bugatti's 1,000 hp propells it to a verified top speed of 407 kph. Wow!

Yes, you got it right, verified! It has been driven at that speed, the most notable driver being James May from Top Gear. When you have finished this article do yourself a very big favour, go to Youtube, Type in "Bugatti Veyron", and watch the video of James hitting 407 kph on the long straight (luckily) of Volkswagons test track. At the end he said that he had tears in his eyes and who can blame him! Just out of interest that is one third of the way to the sound barrier at sea level.

Fuel consumption is very interesting especially considering the current and rising price of petrol. Around town expect about 8 mpg and out on the highway about 11 to 12 mpg. Top speed (you would lose your license for how many lifetimes? - I know what you just thought - but can they catch you?) consumption is rated at about 3.5 mpg - emptying the Bugatti's fuel tank in approximately 12.5 minutes!

OK so you want to know the price. How about just over US$1,400,000. Now that's impressive too. In fact eveything about this car is impressive, big, huge, fast, expensive and powerful.

You know that it is very important for us humans to have things in our life that just totally take our breath away. Wow factors of 10+. These are the things that help us to dream. Without dreaming we are lost. For it is our dreams and goals that forever propell us forward. We have come a long way and their is still far to go.

A silly car? Yes I suppose in everyday terms it is. But, if in the creation of that car, one little boy or girl's imagination and dreams are sparked alive, and they go on to great scientific accomplishments benefitting all mankind - well I guess you get where I'm coming from! For me? - I love it - it's out there - I wanna sit exactly where James May sat, press the starter button and...........

A quote for you: "I am officially Captain Slow on the program. I can drive quite quickly round the track, I've done it a bit, and I think fast track driving is a little like playing the bagpipes, you know, a gentleman can - but doesn't." - James May

Jesse Ventura

Jesse Ventura is next on my list. Who? Do I hear you mumble "who?" Jesse Ventura was a professional wrestler from the glory days of the WWF as it was known then. I'm talking about the 70's and 80's.

He was known as a colour wrestler and announcer (in his later days). By colour I don't mean an offensive racial term - in professional wrestling "colour" means out there, on the edge, entertaining, different - in other words - colourful (in dress and style).

The professional wrestling world is a very hard and gruelling existance. Injuries are commonplace. In fact very bad injuries are commonplace. I know you'll scream "It's all fake and scripted." Indeed it is scripted to a degree, but only to a certain degree. Get two 250lb men flying around a small area and I can assure you that pretty soon any form of scripting can very quickly get lost in the mayhem.

Back to Jesse - Why Jesse? OK, Many of us go through life being kind of quiet and hoping against all hope not to get noticed. Is that you? Perhaps sometimes we need to be a little bit like Jesse Ventura and take to standing out just a little bit. Life just might start to notice you in the crowd. So instead of life always passing you by, it will stop and tap you on the shoulder once in a while!

Arnold Schwarzenegger

In this post I want to write about a person that has had a very positive effect on me. The person is Arnold Schwarzenegger. Yep, Big Arny. The Austrian Oak - 7 times Mr. Olympia winner and possibly the greatest bodybuilder ever.

Arnold has risen from total obscurity as a young lad in Graz, Austria to become one of the most recognizable people in the world.

The reason for Arnold Schwarzenegger is not just because I like bodybuilding, but I have always greatly admired his personal success oriented philosophy. A great quote from Arnold:

"The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it - as long as you really believe 100%."

And it's sticky taped to my wall. I read it every day. Many times each day. And so should you.

Arnold always was and is a great visualiser. And therein lies the key to all success. First visualise yourself being exactly where you want to be. I said EXACTLY. See it, feel it, smell it, dream it. And then one day you'll really get to touch it, hold it, be it, and have it.

Dreams always beget action. I guess the action bit is usually the stumbling block for most folks. But you know, it doesn't have to be. You just have to learn to break huge tasks down into very small doable pieces and start. Simple really.

A quote for you: "For me life is continuously being hungry. The meaning of life is not simply to exist, to survive, but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer." - Arnold Schwarzenegger

Starting Out

I guess these blogs start somewhere; so this is it. I will attempt to keep this updated regularly (tricky).

Today, in our part of the world it is extremely windy and very likely to storm any moment. It is warm though (c.25 deg's C).

I am an internet marketer, philosopher and author. My wife, Emma, is an Administration Manager. As of today we are both 56 years old (and loving it) and very proud parents (2) and grandparents (4).

I have a brand new site so please be encouraged to pay it a visit and most definitely sign up for the free course. The address is:

Sorry - I forgot to mention I'm also a bodybuilder - so what you get from that is it's never too late for you to start too!
