Why do we constantly end up being led by complete morons? Please note that, with this blog post, it is not my wish to intentionally upset anyone, but with the current news of Russia V. Georgia you have to just sit back and scratch your head.
Don't these people learn from the past? Haven't we all had enough of the killing? And it's not just the killing. It's the wounded. The economies crushed. The families torn apart. The futures destroyed. The happiness lost. Infrastructure wrecked. Education stopped. Why?
Is it because someone, somewhere was simply having a bad hair day? Feeling a little greedy perhaps? Small penis syndrome? Thought they were born to rule? Itchy finger just got too itchy?
A question for you. If we were all blessed with a special form of future vision, how many of our leaders would ever get elected in the first place? I'll give you a clue. How does NIL sound! Pretty close I'd reckon. Here's another - if they could see and experience first hand, and personally, the damage they do, the lives they destroy, the families they wreck down through generations, the unhappiness they wreak - would they begin? Try this one - if the first person that was to die in the conflict they start was to be themselves - would they begin?
I don't think so! These great and very brave "leaders" always seem to be very comfortably far away from all the misery they cause - most convenient!!
Just for a moment consider the possibility that if all the money these idiots waste on their silly little grabs for power were instead put into medical research I believe most diseases would NOW be cured. Poverty? Probably a thing of the past. Maybe humans would be living on other planets right now.
You know what the saddest thing is? They were probably voted in, by us, the ordinary citizen. Yep! They snag us hook, line and sinker, every time, with there snake-oil promises, their angel "kissing babies" smile, their "I'm one of you" and "I've got all the answers" lies.
I don't know about you, but I think it's time we ALL said enough is enough! Stop the lies. Stop the killing. Stop the hatred. Stop the madness.
What can you do? Refuse to take part. Think for yourself. Analyze carefully what people tell you - check the facts (most institutions crumble under close scrutiny). Empower yourself to make your own decisions. Imagine if every soldier in the world refused to pull the trigger - because they gave consideration to what they were about to do. The chance of that happening right now is pretty slim, I'll be the first to admit, but you surely get my point. You must begin to be think of yourself as a citizen of the world - NOT as a citizen of a country.
The point is also this. We are all one. In the act of hurting someone else, we also hurt ourselves. When one of our fellow humans dies, we also die a little bit too. When you lie to someone, you also lie to yourself. At what point do we stop the masochism?
The decision is surely ours.
