Reality
This is the reality of your life:
You are born, and then some time later you die. All you are doing is filling in the intervening period as pleasantly as possible. That's it. There is nothing for you to do, and there is nothing and no-one that you have to be. So stop the struggle.
You entered this world with zero material wealth, and you will depart it with nothing of a material nature. So stop worrying about it.
The only wealth that you can take with you is spiritual wealth. Because spiritual wealth is only ever given to you as a gift, and you cannot earn it, there is nothing to struggle for and/or to worry about.
The past is gone never to return. All your desperate grasping will not return one minute of it. All that remains are memories and some photos and, with the passing of time, they will all gradually fade. Let it go.
The future is not yours to live yet. Who knows what it will bring? Good or bad, there is not much you can do about it. It may never happen. All you can do is a little preparation to put your mind at rest, but truly, that's about it. The only thing that is guaranteed is change, and most of that will be completely out of your control. Life is risky. Accept that.
So, where does all that leave you?
Now.
This moment.
It is all you truly have. Grab it. Hold it tight. Love it. Feel it. Give thanks for it. Share it. Fill it with love and laughter. Do good things. Slow down.
By living fully in this moment all the rest will take very good care of itself.
Automatically.

Make the best of what you have
A group of alumni, highly established in their respective careers, got together to visit their old university professor. The conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and in life.
Offering his guests some coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned in a while with a large pot of hot coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some quite exquisite.
He told the group to help themselves to the coffee. When all of the students had a cup of coffee in their hands, the professor said:
"If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.
While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that's the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it's just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.
What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups . . . . and then you began eyeing each other's cups.
Now consider this:
Life is the coffee. The jobs, money, and position in society, are the cups. They're just tools to hold and contain life, and the type of cup we have does not define nor change the quality of the life we live.
Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee that has been provided us. Enjoy your coffee!"
The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything that they do have.
That is a wonderful parable and carries such a powerful message. This moment . . . right now . . . is your life . . . enjoy the moment.

Everything is an illusion
Consider that everything is an illusion... nothing is real... everything is an holographic outpouring from your mind... and, as such, all "truths" vary according to the "truther" or the creator mind.
We all create our own Universe by our thoughts, words, and deeds... they all (everyone’s Universe) vary but overlap to some degree by agreement on some level of consciousness or unconsciousness. What is true today may not be true tomorrow.
To some, in their Universe, Jesus lived and died upon a cross. To others he never lived at all - just a myth created by some crazy Romans who wanted to pacify the Jews. Consider that both are correct. To some the Earth is a spinning ball in space... to others it is a flat stationary plane covered by a dome. Again, consider that both are correct.
In both cases, it's just the viewpoint that has altered - the observer.
The act of observation is a creative force, whether the observation takes place by thought (imagination) or deed, or perhaps, some of both. The challenge is to begin to see through the illusion. You may think that the table that you eat your meal from is solid, but, I can assure you, that it is not. It's actually, at the quantum level, in simplistic terms, a whole lot of nothing. You, as the observer, are making it solid, and a table.
You are far more powerful than you give yourself credit for.
Imagine what could become possible for you, if you finally, and fully, become aware of this fact... that everything is an illusion... and you control the illusion.

10 Things You Notice Near An Empath
We FEEL everything. If you are feeling down, just having a bad day - we feel that too, and we get flooded with a lot of intuitive information about it - insights and so forth. About your feeling down and your having a bad day, just the same as you feel but we feel more because you are our friend, wife, lover, relative and because of that we naturally always desire that you feel good. It's a double kick in the guts.
A lot of times people sense this about us and we get to hear it all . . . a quick cup of coffee can st r . e . . t . . c . h.
Crowds can be tough and I tend to avoid them. Crowds can be a bit like a radio that's picking up all of the stations at once. OK if it's say a music concert and everyone is feeling great and upbeat. Not good if it's out and about in the general public where negative feelings can predominate. Ouch!
Please click on the link below. It will take you to a great article posted on a site called "Humans are Free". If you happen to have an empath in your life, or maybe you are one, the article will give you a deeper look at what the heck is going on, and why they, or you and I, sometimes act a little wierd.

Exclusive: Michael Tellinger Interview
This is a must see interview with Michael Tellinger about the "birth" of mankind, woops, sorry! Personkind. What we have been taught in school (Darwinism) is just not true. There is another story, and we must be awake to hear it.
And no, it's not fundamentalist clap-trap!

Gotcha! by Eldon Taylor - a Book Review
Eldon Taylor shouts out a wake up call to everyone to take a stand against the coming tyranny of megalithic companies and the psychopathic elite at the top of the pyramid of madness. These companies, and the elite that seem to somehow get elected to Government, and who also own the companies, would love to create a slave race. They, of course, would always remain at the top of this pyramid.
They desire to create a two-tier society. That's them at the top, and us, that's you and me, as their slaves at the bottom. You don't get to join this satanic elite unless you have the correct family name, belong to the correct secret society, or will happily submit to very strange and deadly satanic rituals. Being mega-rich helps too.
Conspiracy theorists have been warning us for decades of this fast coming tyranny, but have been laughed at by the so-called intelligentsia for far too long. Eldon Taylor, with the publication of his best selling book, Gotcha!, shines a beacon on a path for the every-man to finally follow and find the truth for themselves. Maybe, just maybe, those conspiracy theorists have been right all along. The question is - have you been listening?
Folks, we are being constantly manipulated and herded like cattle into situations and lifestyles not of our own making or desire. We are, and have been for far too long, being played for fools. This is all being done to benefit an extraordinarily small segment of society called the elite, or the mega-rich, who, by their very nature, are psychopaths. They don't give a damn, as long as they get what they want. Welcome to your brave new world!
I highly recommend this book to everyone and feel it should be taught from in schools.
Wake up sheeple!
Gotcha! The Subordination of Free Will is published by R.K.Books, and should be available from all good book retailers, both offline and online.

Both Sides Now
Our thoughts are not in our head, but are from our Real Self in the non-material. Ponder on that.
"The World as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking".

To Risk
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach out to another is to risk involvement,
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self
To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To hope is to risk despair,
To try at all is to risk failure
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow,
But he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live.
Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has forfeited all freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.
Author unknown, but has been variously attributed to William Arthur Ward, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Leo Buscaglia, and Anonymous.

Simple Self-Hypnosis
We usually associate self-hypnosis as a person listening to an mp3, CD, or other mass-produced media purchased online. They are usually purchased with a specific topic in mind, such as weight loss, smoking cessation, confidence issues etc.
Although often quite beneficial, this kind of self-hypnosis is generally prepared by someone who has never met, nor will ever meet, the person wishing assistance. For example, if you sunburn easily, the last thing you would ever want to hear suggested is a slow walk on a sunny beach. Your immediate reaction may be to inwardly recoil with a "no, I can't do that", and the "spell" is broken. So, in this case the "self" in self-hypnosis simply means that you listen to it by yourself come what may.
The most beneficial form of self-hypnosis would necessarily be designed and created by the very person who will ultimately use and benefit from it. Unlike the mass-produced pre-recorded hypnosis mp3's, this hypnosis is custom made for the exact purpose the user wishes, including the precise words and phrases that mean the most to that particular person. Thus, true self-hypnosis is crafted by the end user to suit his or her own needs precisely, a personal, one-of-a-kind hypnosis script. In this case the "self" in self-hypnosis really does mean what it says - that you are hypnotised by yourself.
Below is a brief outline of the self-hypnosis process. Though lots of variations of this method have been and are being used, these are the basic steps you have to go through in order to hypnotise yourself to accomplish the changes you may desire.
1. Be specific about the change you need to make. don't be flippy-floppy here. If you feel you need more confidence, ask yourself what sort of confidence. You may be very confident at changing a tap washer if you are a plumber, but the confidence you chase may be to speak before a large meeting of fellow plumbers.
2. Formulate and write down a script that suits you perfectly. Spend a little time here, be very personal - this is for your own ears only and no one else will ever see or hear it. Perform re-writes until you are perfectly satisfied.
3. Commit your script to memory or record to mp3 using your computer or similar recording devise. If committing to memory don't get hung up on being too exact - it's the general intentional drift that is important.
4. Make an appointment with yourself - you would make an appointment with your doctor without even thinking about it - so make one with yourself - and stick to it! Diarise, make a note, whatever you need to do, whatever it takes, just do it. You are important. Schedule this appointment with yourself daily or otherwise as suits your situation.
5. Be alone - be very alone. Switch off the phone, close the blinds, lock the door, put the dog or cat outside (they will still love you afterwards). Get rid of all possible distractions.
6. The relaxation phase. Use the first few minutes of your self-hypnosis session to get as relaxed as possible. Get comfortable, close your eyes, take three deep breaths, and try to forget all your worries and problems - this is your time and your time alone. Begin with your feet - feel them in your mind and/or physically tense them and then let them go - feel them letting go and relaxing. Repeat this procedure with your legs, hips, mid-section, chest, arms, neck, face (especially the jaw), and head. Take your time. Don't worry about being perfect the first time. Just have a go and let the perfection come naturally with practice. Finish this part with "my mind is clear and open and I am relaxed".
7. Say to yourself the memorised script you had prepared earlier or press the play button on your device. Stay focused, and if your mind should wander, just gently bring yourself back to focus. A better alternative is to also record your relaxation phase to your device followed by your script. By far the best way, of course, is to make the effort to memorise both. So much simpler.
8. At the end of the script say to yourself "I am awake, refreshed, energised and happy. I love life and life loves me". Stretch your arms wide and take a deep breath and notice how much better you now feel.
9. Measure your progress. Are things improving as you had hoped? If not, be ready to fine tune your script. Live in positive expectation. Expect that your situation has improved and the desired result is now yours. Unless the situation is dangerous, deliberately test the water by putting yourself into the situation that was previously causing angst. At all costs, avoid avoidance.
10. Most important of all - be gentle with yourself.
That's it - simple self-hypnosis.

Perfect Ain't So Perfect
Most of your best times will be your worst times. When bad stuff happens, your better self kicks in as you get the opportunity to rise above yourself and challenge adversity. Some times you win, sometimes you may lose. In the end it really doesn't matter. The important thing is that you rose to the challenge and you learned some lessons.
So strive to love and appreciate any hard times that may come your way for that's where you will discover that you were far stronger than you ever believed you could be.
You are stronger than you think and perfect isn't perfect.

Choices and Illusions by Eldon Taylor
I was recently contacted to be a part of a Blog Tour by publishers Hay House. It was to be for a book called "Choices and Illusions: How Did I Get Where I Am, and How do I Get Where I Want to Be" by Eldon Taylor. This previously published book is being re-released with updates.
Here is where I have to admit that up until being recently contacted by Hay House I had never heard of Eldon Taylor. I have read and have a personal library of many, many self-help style books (way too many according to my wife!) - but nothing ever by Eldon Taylor. So, it was going to be an adventure for me to find out what he had to say.
All I can say now after reading the book - poor fool me. I have been missing out. Eldon Taylor writes well in a conversational way that manages to keep the reader interested in the topic at hand. The pages speed by with many "Ah-Ha" moments of personal revelation. Eldon is not afraid to let us into his own personal life in a most honest style.
The book is about our minds and who owns them - "Us" or "Them". Most of us would say "Us". But, do we? The illusion is that we think we do. Choices - are we actually making any that we can truly say are our own? Subliminal messages and advertising have been affecting our decisions for a long time.
Eldon discusses these topics and others, and how we can begin to take back control of our own thinking and therefore make responsible choices. One of the ways to do this is by using subliminal affirmations. This is the core of a self-help therapy that Eldon has perfected over a 25 year period enabling anyone to improve their mind and lifestyle.
I found this book to be a most enjoyable and informative read. Well done. Now that I have found out who Eldon Taylor is I like him and the way he thinks a great deal. The world is all the more richer for his presence.

What Happens in a Reiki Treatment Session?
To follow is an exact case study of a recent session I conducted - only the recipient's name has been changed - I'll call her Jane. Let's begin:
"Jane has completed and signed my New Client Intake Form, Explanation and Consent Form, and has read through the "Reiki - What's It All About" information sheet.
Jane is a happily married business-woman who has a small but growing bookkeeping business which she runs from home. She has 3 grown-up children and 2 grandchildren. She has a close and loving family.
Jane has indicated that she has been feeling run down and tired due to various business pressures that have built up over recent weeks of intense effort. She has seen her GP for a thorough check-up and has received an "all clear". Jane is starting work with a new business client in the coming week and so wishes to attend feeling more upbeat, energized and positive so as to be sure of giving a more favourable impression to her new client when they start work together.
I decided to first do an aura clearing to clear any negative energies from her energy field that may be slowing or blocking the flow of energy and so leading to her feeling of tiredness. This will be followed by a general all-over Reiki Session to uplift, re-power and re-balance her entire energy system. This would raise her level of well-being and confidence for the coming week's events especially as the Reiki Energy continues to flow for her over the next couple of days.
I had Jane stand in front of an off-white screen with the lighting subdued so that I could examine her aura. The aura was lovely, bright and clear being mostly a very pleasant yellow especially around the head and shoulder area. It was tinged with flashes of blue towards the outside - about 30cm from the body. I studied her entire body both frontally and side-on but was unable to see any dirty coloured areas in the aura or anything that was telling me "not good".
Before continuing I washed my hands in cold water to rid them of any residual negative energetic debris. I then had Jane lie on her back on the Reiki table and I performed an aura clearing using both hands alternately, sweeping any possible negative elements that may be present well away from both of us and shaking them loose at the end of each sweep. I performed about 10 such sweeps making sure to cover all areas, and, after asking her to roll over, repeated the same to her back.
After getting Jane to once more roll onto her back I began the Reiki session. I used my 100 count method of timing my hand placements. The hand placements used were: eyes, temples, top of head, throat, chest, solar plexus, abdomen, and groin. She then rolled onto her front and the hand placements I used on her back were: back of head, back of neck, top of shoulders, shoulder blades, middle back, lower back, tail bone, kidneys and side of hips. I then washed my hands under cold running water and watched all of her problems wash away and disappear never to be seen again.
This finished the session.
After Jane sat up and had a glass of water I enquired as to how she was feeling. She said she felt very, very relaxed and "great" and definitely had a more positive feeling or outlook for the coming week ahead than she had on arrival. She was now smiling and appeared much more calm and relaxed. I suggested we reschedule for a "booster" session a week from today. With the positive results gained from today's session, she was more than happy to do so."
I hope that helps to banish any fears you may have. Please note this case study was published with the full consent of "Jane" who was herself a first-timer. Also please note that for sensitive areas such as the throat and groin the "safe touch" method of hand placement is used - the hands of the practitioner hover about 6 cm above the area in question.

Steps to Forgiveness
Many people live lives of resentment and anger due to an inability to engage in acts of forgiveness. Possibly the greatest hurdle to attaining true desires and happiness people face is the inability to forgive other people, themselves and past events.
To get; first you must learn to give.
So, to be forgiven; first you must learn the art of forgiveness.
For to forgive truly is divine.
Below are some suggestions or steps that may help.
- Learn to see the ability to forgive as an act of strength; not as an act of weakness or uncertainty. Strong people forgive. It turns you into the stronger man or woman - in body, mind and spirit. Lack of forgiveness (or, harboring deep long term resentments) has been linked to many emotional and physical problems. By forgiving you will be activating a state of wellness within yourself.
- The past is the past and cannot be undone. The Universe is only interested in the now. Forgive the past and all it's events and feel the burden fall away. The relief will be immediate. Focus instead on your point of power - the amazing moment of now. By dropping the negative burden of the past you will be freed to focus on more positive thoughts thereby activating the Law of Attraction in your favor from this moment forward.
- Stop all judgmental attitudes. As soon as you find yourself beginning to pass judgments say to yourself "STOP". Then start seeing the positive in those same people, places or events. This will start the process of purging all negativity from your life. There is always a positive in there somewhere - it WILL be there - so go look for it, make the effort, and that is where your focus needs to be.
- All clouds have a silver lining. No matter how bad a past event seems to you now, and therefore no matter how hard it may be to forgive, you will have learned something of positive value from that person, place or event. Focus on the positive lesson learned and give thanks to the Universe for that. Always remember - there are no accidents, there are no coincidences, and the Universe does not make mistakes.
- By employing the act of forgiveness you are letting go of all resentments, grudges and anger and therefore purging yourself of a host of negative emotions that are holding you back from the enjoyable and constructive life that most desire. Doing so gives you the mental space and opportunity to refill the mind with positive thoughts. This can be achieved through the use of positive affirmations, positive self-talk and performing positive actions (doing nice things for other people). Activating the positive in your life automatically activates the Law of Attraction to bring you more of the good stuff.
- Lastly, but, most important of all, learn to love, find love, give love, and go where love is. Love is the energy of the Universe. It is the primal force of All That Is. By associating with the Love Force you will find your life guided by it. You will bring yourself into harmonization with the Universe and all Universe activities. You will stop swimming against the current at long last.
All negative forces, including lack of forgiveness, fade away in the face of the power of love. Love is the primary activating force of the Law of Attraction. Find it - use it. When you find it, which, if you search, you will, spare a thought that it was you who attracted it. Then spare a moment to thank the Universe for it.
For more on forgiveness please see my post:
"Letting go of the past - a simple method"
