"To err is human; to forgive, divine" - Alexander Pope
Many people live lives of resentment and anger due to an inability to engage in acts of forgiveness. Possibly the greatest hurdle to attaining true desires and happiness people face is the inability to forgive other people, themselves and past events.
To get; first you must learn to give.
So, to be forgiven; first you must learn the art of forgiveness.
For to forgive truly is divine.
Below are some suggestions or steps that may help.
- Learn to see the ability to forgive as an act of strength; not as an act of weakness or uncertainty. Strong people forgive. It turns you into the stronger man or woman - in body, mind and spirit. Lack of forgiveness (or, harboring deep long term resentments) has been linked to many emotional and physical problems. By forgiving you will be activating a state of wellness within yourself.
- The past is the past and cannot be undone. The Universe is only interested in the now. Forgive the past and all it's events and feel the burden fall away. The relief will be immediate. Focus instead on your point of power - the amazing moment of now. By dropping the negative burden of the past you will be freed to focus on more positive thoughts thereby activating the Law of Attraction in your favor from this moment forward.
- Stop all judgmental attitudes. As soon as you find yourself beginning to pass judgments say to yourself "STOP". Then start seeing the positive in those same people, places or events. This will start the process of purging all negativity from your life. There is always a positive in there somewhere - it WILL be there - so go look for it, make the effort, and that is where your focus needs to be.
- All clouds have a silver lining. No matter how bad a past event seems to you now, and therefore no matter how hard it may be to forgive, you will have learned something of positive value from that person, place or event. Focus on the positive lesson learned and give thanks to the Universe for that. Always remember - there are no accidents, there are no coincidences, and the Universe does not make mistakes.
- By employing the act of forgiveness you are letting go of all resentments, grudges and anger and therefore purging yourself of a host of negative emotions that are holding you back from the enjoyable and constructive life that most desire. Doing so gives you the mental space and opportunity to refill the mind with positive thoughts. This can be achieved through the use of positive affirmations, positive self-talk and performing positive actions (doing nice things for other people). Activating the positive in your life automatically activates the Law of Attraction to bring you more of the good stuff.
- Lastly, but, most important of all, learn to love, find love, give love, and go where love is. Love is the energy of the Universe. It is the primal force of All That Is. By associating with the Love Force you will find your life guided by it. You will bring yourself into harmonization with the Universe and all Universe activities. You will stop swimming against the current at long last.
All negative forces, including lack of forgiveness, fade away in the face of the power of love. Love is the primary activating force of the Law of Attraction. Find it - use it. When you find it, which, if you search, you will, spare a thought that it was you who attracted it. Then spare a moment to thank the Universe for it.

Abundant Thinking - Achieving The Rich Dad Mindset
Abundant thinking is a form of positive thinking. It is about creating a mindset of positive values that allow you to perceive your life as one of abundance, not one of deficit. It teaches you to flip your mental attitude coin from negative to positive and appreciate how much you have in your life to be grateful for.
However, it does not suggest that our gratitude should cause us to stop striving for more and just accept our lot in life; rather it teaches quite the opposite: that by acknowledging how abundant our lives are already, our minds will embrace the concept that the good things in life are potentially unlimited.
Abundant means to be richly supplied; to be over-supplied. This means that we should have no fear of asking for more because we can be confident in its delivery. Abundance is a store that never runs out of its goods.
Abundant thinking is not just concerned with money, although there is a strong financial aspect that can be applied; it is a life philosophy. Where money is the issue, it is viewed as a tool that allows a better quality of life to be achieved – not just the material aspects, but most crucially the freedom to spend time doing the things that matter with the people that matter.
Similarly, being a rich dad, or a rich mum, may not relate to money at all. It can even negate the willful drive for extra finances, especially where that works against the more important aspects of life, such as love and family. We all know of rich, unhappy people. We read about them every day in the newspapers and see them on the television; people who have a clear abundance of finances but who are bereft emotionally.
Abundant thinking is all about changing how you view your personal circumstances so that you can change how you view the world at large. It is realizing that you have been the cause of your sadness and struggle in life through your focus on what you don’t have, rather than on what you do have.
Change your focus - change your life!

Your Mind - Friend or Foe?
We are what and where we are because of our thoughts in the past. Thoughts become things. We consciously or subconsciously always think about something. The problem is that we usually think more about things we don't want than about the things we truly want. It doesn't matter if we want or don't want something as we will always end up getting what we mostly think about - good or bad!
Try to observe your thoughts for a day or two. Do you mostly think about the things that are worrying you, stuff you don't want to happen, situations you are afraid of, or do you mostly think about pleasant and wonderful things?
Your present situation, whatever that happens to be, is the result of your predominant state of mind in the past. In fact - you are creating your future now! Your future will be like your predominant state of mind now.
Because you're creating the future now, only the present is important. By having happy, loving, abundant and positive thoughts now, you are creating a happy, loving, abundant and positive future for yourself. This is the Law of Attraction in action. You definitely can attract whatever you want into your life: happiness, wealth, perfect health, love and wonderful relationships.
Unfortunately, you can also attract things and situations that you don't want. Your mind can be your best friend or your worst enemy. If you don't exercise control over your thoughts, letting them become negative, producing bad emotions, your mind will become your worst enemy. Teach yourself to control your thoughts, that is, think positively and with the resultant good emotions, your mind will have truly become your very best friend!
So..............is your mind your friend or worst enemy?

Desire
It is eternally true that desire is the cause of all feeling and all action: in other words, of all life. This wholeness of your life consists in receiving or radiating out the vibrations produced by thoughts. This is the Law of Attraction. In the Universe that is your mind these vibrations necessarily become conscious out-reachings in the direction of the felt attraction: that is, your thoughts have become desires.
Desire is therefore the mind seeking to manifest some form which as yet exists only in thoughts. It is the act of creation, whether the thing created be a world or a wooden spoon; both have their origen in the desire to bring something into existence which does not yet exist.
Whatever may be the scale on which we exercise our creative ability, the motive power must always be desire. Desire is the force behind all things. It is the moving principle of the universe and the innermost center of all life.
To attempt to take the negation of desire as our primal principle is to try to stamp out the very stuff of life itself. What we have to do is to acquire the knowledge required by which to guide our desires to their true destination (objects) of vibrational harmony and therefore thus gain satisfaction.
Desire is the life force in which all movement originates, whether on the physical level or the spiritual.
Desire is a creative power that must be closely guarded, trained, and intelligently directed.
Use it wisely!

How to feel good - part 2.
Last time we chatted about the Feel Bad Zone.
I gave you some contrast by describing in point form what being in the Feel Bad Zone is all about. It's a nasty place! As I said then, if you find yourself domiciled in any or some of those situations - you need to get out of there - real quick.
In future posts I will go into some detail about how to extricate yourself from each and every one of those situations I described.
Today is all about - the Feel Good Zone.
Life is all about feeling good. It's where you need to be ALL the time.
Why?
Simply - it's not only a happy place, but also, so much more! As I said last time, just try living life in the Feel Bad Zone and you will start longing for the Feel Good Zone - guaranteed!
Besides, feeling good will remove resistance from your personality (opens the door) so that all the good things (your personal desires) are able to enter into your life. It's called invoking the Law of Allowing.
See if you relate to any, some, or all of these.
The Feel Good Zone:
Your glass is always half full.
You live your life with passion - you go for it.
You are optimistic - the future looks good.
You are enthusiastic and eager - nothing is too much trouble.
You love yourself, you are loved, and you give love freely.
You seek and love freedom.
You love and respect animals.
You are grateful - you show appreciation.
A feeling of joy dominates your life.
You are an empowered person - you KNOW you can do it - and by god - you will!
You enjoy gaining knowledge.
You deeply understand that abundance is all around you and it is all available to you.
You learn from your mistakes.
You are just happy - smiling comes naturally.
Your life is one of contentment.
You proudly accept responsibility for yourself and your actions.
You have faith that all is for a higher purpose.
You constantly seek opportunities to improve yourself and your situation.
You get enjoyment and satisfaction from helping others - you are service oriented.
You look after yourself - both physically and mentally.
You seek peace and shun violence.
You laugh freely and often.
Love is all around you. Beauty is all around you. Abundance is all around you. Happiness is everywhere. Laughter abounds, All knowledge is available to you. Peace and joy are your birthright. We all live for a higher purpose!
YOU FEEL GOOD!
Half full?
Your glass is overflowing!
Open your eyes.
Look for something beautiful. Perhaps a flower? focus on how beautiful it is. Soon you will notice something else that has beauty. Then something else. Then something else. Then something else. Then something else.
And as you notice how beauty seems to be everywhere it starts to become a part of you life. It's filling your thoughts. Beauty is revealing itself and coming to you. Your mind has become a magnet for beauty.
It's called the Law of Attraction.
Use it!
Next time - how to pivot those "feel bads" into "feel goods".

Towards better feeling thoughts.
I would like to share with you a good method for changing negative or bad feeling thoughts for positive or better feeling thoughts. A way to turn your day around. Perhaps a way to turn your life around!
The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like unto itself. This means that if your thoughts are heading in a certain direction, unless you take some form of action to change that thought direction, your thoughts about the subject, or more accurately, the essence of your thoughts on your particular chosen subject, or thought stream, will build one on top of another. Avalanche!
If your thought was a negative one, which made you feel bad, before you are really aware of it, your mind will be flooded with like thoughts of a negative, or bad feeling, nature. The next step is you feel miserable and your day goes rapidly downhill.
On the way to work on the freeway someone cuts you off in traffic. You THINK the guys an idiot. You THINK about how many idiots there are on the road these days. The traffic slows. You THINK how this will make you late for work. You THINK about how the boss will not be happy. You THINK about how the government is not investing enough into bigger freeways. A truck moves in front of you slowing traffic even more. You THINK about all the crazy truck drivers on the roads and you THINK how it always seems to happen to you. and on. and on. and on. and on.
You start to feel ill!
Let's go back to that very first THINK. OK, you've thought the guy's an idiot. There is not, nor will their ever be anything you can possibly do to change that guy's behaviour!
But you can change yours. In fact, it is the only thing you have any control over. You can take responsibility for, and indeed change, the direction of your thoughts.
Taking control of and changing a negative stream of bad feeling thoughts to a positive and good feeling stream of thoughts is called "PIVOTING". You pivot your thoughts in a different direction - the good feeling direction.
The guy cuts in front of you. You THINK the guy's an idiot, you start to feel bad - the day's going to hell with all these crazy drivers. WHOA! Stop! Pivot. I can't wait to get home tonight. My wife's got a great evening planned with some friends coming over. What a great day - the weather is just fantastic. We had a great holiday this year, that was a wonderful hotel where we stayed. I couldn't stop giggling to myself all morning over that comedy we watched on TV last night. The traffic is a little slow but my boss is a really great guy and will understand.
See what I mean. Pivoting works.
Try it.
Use it.

Your Power For Change
Have you ever walked into a room and wished you hadn't. What I'm talking about here is the "vibe". The term "I could have cut the air with a knife" comes to mind. The people in the room are whispering and frowning is commonplace. No one is laughing. Yuk!
The opposite of course is often the case. You enter a room full of people and there's a "buzz". It's all happening to use a 70's term. Smiles all around, everyone chatting and laughing - immediately you know this party is going to be Gooood! You can feel it.
One room is negative while the other is positive. Imagine if we could stop time for a couple of minutes - no, let's not just imagine - let's do it! We have stopped time. Now let's turn all the people in the negative room into a sum much like we used to do at school with arithmetic. Then we'll play averages.
This person over here has a very negative attitude to everything so he gets a -9. That lady over there is not too bad so she gets a -2. The friend you came with is fairly cheery, he gets a +2. As usual, of course, you're on top of the world, all fired up, so you are awarded a +9. The others range from -1 to -9. We end up with a "per person vibe" average of -4.
We go through the same process with the other, positive, room. Much better. The average here is a wonderful +5. This place is jumping - you don't want to go home - this party is looking to go Waaaay into the night.
Take this same template and place it over your family - what do you get? Your place of work? Your country? Your world? You?
What makes each of these hypothetical people's +'s or -'s are their personal vibrational states. This personal vibrational state is constructed from their personal thoughts. My wife often has the unnerving habit of turning to me and saying "I can tell you're deep in thought, what are you thinking about?" She could feel the vibrations emanating from me due to the fact that I actually was very deep in thought about some subject that I was intensely interested in and emotionally attached to. Hence she picked it up.
I can hear your question. O.K. Doug, this is all very interesting and I can see where you are coming from, but, what's the point? The point is this - to make change for the better in our life we must always endeavour to make sure that we are a + person. Always being in a + vibration (positive and/or joyous thoughts) is a real way in which we can truly influence those around us. You can't force other people to change, they have to want to change. By your positive thoughts, becoming positive words and then positive deeds you can have a very real impact on the world around you - just as my wife picks up on my vibrations, so other people will pick up on yours.
You see, the future is not really in everyone's hands, it's actually in their thoughts, where everything begins. Let's all go change the world - one thought at a time.
A quote for you: "Our life is what our thoughts make it. A man will find that as he alters his thoughts toward things and other people, things and other people will alter towards him." - James Allen

Towards Financial Freedom - Part 3
3. Your Goals (Dreams)
A question for you. Would you set out on a very, very long journey to an area completely unknown to you without first obtaining and consulting a map? Just for a minute imagine yourself on this journey to this totally strange area with no map or direction finding help whatsoever.
You do know that people have made it through before with varying degrees of success. A great percentage appear to get lost, confused, travel in circles and just seem to be going nowhere in particular. They seem to have this uneasy feeling that they perhaps should have some sort of a plan to be going at least somewhere on this great and mystical journey.
What is known is that nearly all of the successful travellers on this journey took the time to sit down quietly with pen and paper to map out their route to all the destinations they desired to visit. In doing so they virtually guaranteed their arrival.
You see, without dreams and goals you are doomed. It is the same as setting out on a long journey with no map and no destination in mind - you just end up going in circles and feeling very unsatisfied. Achievement levels are mediocre to say the least!
Action Plan. Set aside a whole day when you can be alone. You will need a pen and some paper - hopefully many pages (and a spare pen!). Now make a huge list (the more detail the better - what color will that Rolls Royce be?) of all the things you want to do, have, be and achieve from this moment on till the moment your eyelids close for the final time. I mean everything - leave nothing out - not a single thing. Keep in mind that what you are writing down is your new life - your adventure - love it - do it - go for it with all your heart and soul! Lastly, assemble everything into some sort of order that suits you best but be flexible as your likes, dislikes and opportunities can change with time.
Don't concern yourself with the "how". That's the Universe's problem. The job at hand for you is just to focus on your destination/s - and feel good about them. Like thoughts attract like things. It is a Law of the Universe and it works every time.
Next time: Your self.
Three excellent quotes:
"People with clear, written goals, accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without them could ever imagine." - Brian Tracy
"It doesn't matter where you are coming from. All that matters is where you are going." - Brian Tracy
"All successful people, men and women, are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that gaol or purpose." - Brian Tracy
